Meet Sean
Sean and his wife, Teresa, have lived in the South Hill neighborhood in Bloomington for over two decades. Sean is a pension and insurance advocate for production employees at the Bridgestone tire plant, where he recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with Bridgestone and the United Steelworkers. He helps those planning to retire as well as anyone who needs assistance with insurance issues as well as day-to-day issues associated with employment with Bridgestone OTR.
The son of a U.S. Marine, Sean was born in Illinois, but moved around the world during his childhood. In 1988, Sean moved to Bloomington-Normal to work at the Pantagraph. A decade later, he began working at Bridgestone as a tire builder and joined the United Steel Workers. He has demonstrated strong leadership in his role with the Steelworkers, representing the organization at events, conferences and trainings around the world.
Sean is also deeply invested in numerous causes across McLean County. He has served on the board of directors of United Way McLean County for more than a decade, volunteers at the Christmas for Kids Party for children of the unemployed and underemployed and helps out at the Midwest Food Bank. The Special Olympics of Illinois has always been a cause near to his heart. He is a regular volunteer at the annual state summer games at Illinois State University and the Polar Plunge at Miller Park.
Sean is running to be your representative because he believes you deserve someone that will:

Fight to lower the cost of living, attract high-wage jobs, expand career training, and strengthen our local economy
Keep our community safe by funding law enforcement, first responders, and mental health services
Listen carefully to the residents of our community and be transparent, fair, and accountable to our community
Invest in maintaining and improving our local infrastructure, such as roads and water lines
